Backstory:

Dantheon Reiss is the self-styled Ice King of Vyragoth, a desolate snowbound wasteland located in the Crucible Reach, 8,217 light-years from Earth. He is not a man of intellect, nor a strategist, nor even a leader. He is a brute, a marauder, a savage tyrant who clawed his way to power through sheer barbarism and bloodlust. Born into a forgotten colony abandoned by its corporate overlords, Dantheon survived by preying on the weak, killing for scraps, and relishing the misery of others.

His ascent began when he stumbled upon the Cryogauntlets, ancient relics from a bygone era buried deep within the ice. The gauntlets fused with his flesh, granting him the ability to freeze anything he touches and channel devastating bursts of subzero energy. Dantheon didn’t understand their origins, but he didn’t care. They made him powerful. With his newfound abilities, he enslaved the remnants of his colony, forcing them to construct grotesque weapons and machines from scavenged parts.

What Dantheon lacks in intelligence, he makes up for with unrelenting savagery. He views those who oppose him as nothing more than fodder for his brutal whims, often freezing his victims alive to decorate his throne room with macabre ice sculptures. His rule is one of terror, and his philosophy is simple: the strong take, the weak suffer.

The true origin of the Cryogauntlets remains unknown. What is clear is that they were never meant to be harmless tools. Since bonding with Dantheon, the ancient biomechanical weapons have gradually altered his body and amplified his most violent impulses. Whether the gauntlets are consciously corrupting their bearer or simply exacting a biological price for their power is something Dantheon neither understands nor cares enough to investigate.
