PRUZZIE

Pronounced: PRUE-zee • Living Gateway

Backstory:

Pruzzie was once a 22-year-old receptionist, small, quiet, and accustomed to being treated like someone who could be ignored. That changed when a cyber-cult kidnapped her for a ritual intended to tear open a gateway into a hellish dimension. The ritual failed in the worst possible way: instead of opening the gateway, it transformed Pruzzie herself into one. Her body changed, a living chain-like tail emerged from her, and she discovered she could cross into the other realm at will. Whether the place is truly Hell or something stranger remains unknown, but Pruzzie feels an unexpected sense of belonging there. Despite her frightening appearance and connection to an infernal world, she remains fundamentally kind, carrying the scars of what was done to her without becoming the monster people expect her to be.

Unique Artifact:

Living Chain Tail
A segmented chain-like tail ending in a deadly spike, created as part of Pruzzie’s transformation. It behaves almost like a living extension of her nervous system, reacting instinctively to danger and emotion. Pruzzie can use it as a weapon, climbing tool, restraint, or defensive limb, though at times it seems to possess instincts of its own.

Moral Compass:

Chaotic Good – Pruzzie has little interest in rules or institutions after being victimized by people who believed they had the right to use her. She follows her own conscience, protects people she believes deserve it, and refuses to let her appearance define what she becomes.

Weakness/Failing:

Emotional Isolation – Pruzzie spent much of her life feeling insignificant, and her transformation has only made it harder for her to believe she truly belongs among ordinary people. When frightened or hurt, she often retreats into the other dimension rather than confronting what she is feeling, risking becoming more comfortable there than in the world she came from.

Profession:

Former Receptionist / Living Gateway – Once an ordinary office worker, Pruzzie is now a living bridge between two realities. She can enter the hellish dimension at will and potentially allow others to cross with her, making her both extraordinarily powerful and dangerously valuable to anyone seeking access to the world beyond.
